Chapter wins Most Improved Chapter Award from TKE

Congratulations to the Active Chapter!

It was announced on August 27th that TKE Delta Nu was selected as a recipient of the Most Improved Chapter Award for the 2009-2010 school year.  The chapter was one of only four to receive this distinction this year.
Along with the other winners of this award, Delta Nu will be featured in the Summer 2010 issue of the The Teke magazine, as well as at the TKE website, www.tke.org.

New Active Chapter Member Scholarship Now Available

New Active Chapter Member Scholarship Now Available

The TKE Delta Nu Alumni Association is pleased to announce that the TKE Delta Nu Scholarship is now available for application. The TKE Delta Nu Scholarship is available to any active member of TKE Delta Nu in good standing. The scholarship award is for $500 and will be awarded for the spring 2011 semester. Applications are due to Dave Teeter, 901, no later than October 1st.
Interested applicants can download the application from the Delta Nu website on the “Active” tab and opening the “TKE Delta Nu Scholarship” link. This link will also take applicants directly to the web page: Click HERE. The application is located at the end of the page.
An Alumni committee has been formed to review the applications and select a recipient so that the scholarship can be applied to their Spring semester account this academic year.
Applications need to be submitted no later than Friday, October 1, 2010, to Dave Teeter at dteeter@mc-wildcats.org.

2010 Peter J. Greve TKE Alumni Scholarship to Edward Oster of Stanton, Iowa

The Delta Nu TKE Alumni have awarded the Peter J. Greve Memorial, TKE Alumni of Northwest Missouri State University Scholarship for 2010-11 to Edward Lucas Oster, Jr., from Stanton, IA High School. The son of Edward Oster, Delta Nu scroll 986, Edward, Jr. is an outstanding student and is planning on an agri-business degree from Northwest.  Oster currently serves as vice-president of his high school senior class, is a four-sport athlete who also made time for activities in band, FFA, choir, 4-H and church youth group at Elliott Church of Christ. A member of the National Honor Society, he carries a 3.76 GPA. He received all-conference recognition in baseball and football as a member of the state champion eight-man football team.

There were a very impressive number of excellent applications this year.  Thank you to everyone that  took the time to nominate the applicants. Thank you sincerely as well to everyone that continues to support this scholarship.

On behalf of the Board of Advisors I want to wish everyone Happy Anniversary! Today marks the 56th anniversary of our wonderful chapter. Over 56 years there have been many significant developments on the campus of Northwest Missouri State University and Delta Nu Fraters have been an integral part of those events.

TKE Scholarships in the NW Alumni News

In the most recent edition of the Northwest Alumni Magazine, two of Delta Nu's sponsored scholarships are highlighted - the Tau Kappa Epsilon Memorial Scholarship and the Peter J. Greve Memorial TKE Alumni Scholarship.  Featured in the picture are Steve Moss, Darwin Rold, Ron Woolsey, Merle Jones, John Newberry and Dick Westbrook.  The story appears on Page 10.

Tornado over Northwest

This picture was taken by Histor Ryan Jackson on Saturday, April 24th, after the "Three Kings" party held at the TKE House. The tornado touched down west of campus near Nodaway Valley Lake. 

10 weeks to the 15th Annual Delta Nu Scramble - Shirts are due in four weeks!

Amazingly enough, the 2010 Delta Nu Memorial Scramble is only nine weeks away. To date, I have verbal and official registrations from 55 players, 17 short of us filling the course and 36 players short of last year’s total, so we’re looking for you!  Please read on for information on registration, the shirt deadline and the current list of teams.
